Hi, I’m Lauren, and I’m here to support you through the transformative journey of parenthood.
Becoming a parent is one of life’s most beautiful and challenging transitions, and my goal is to make that journey easier for you. As a CAPPA-trained postpartum doula and newborn care specialist, I specialize in providing overnight care to help parents navigate those early days with confidence, calm, and—most importantly—rest. Whether you’re a first-time parent or welcoming multiples, I’m here to offer professional, compassionate support tailored to your family’s unique needs.
I’ve always been deeply passionate about maternal and infant health. My career began with a desire to empower families, ensuring that every parent feels supported, informed, and confident in their role. After earning my bachelor’s degree from Clemson University, South Carolina, and my master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I turned my focus to providing hands-on support for families during one of life’s most vulnerable moments.
Since 2017, I’ve had the privilege of serving families across upstate and coastal South Carolina, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the Research Triangle in North Carolina, helping them navigate newborn care, postpartum recovery, and everything in between
Why I started Twilight Newborn Care
I believe it really does “take a village”, but I’ve seen firsthand how many parents don’t have that level of support nearby. Whether due to distance, busy schedules, or simply life’s challenges, so many families feel isolated during the postpartum period. My mission is to bridge that gap—offering professional care, guidance, and emotional support so you never feel alone.
My work is inspired by a commitment to:
Empowering Families: Helping parents feel prepared and confident in their abilities.
Building Community: Creating a supportive space for parents during one of life’s most transformative experiences.
Fostering Wellness: Prioritizing the health and well-being of both mothers and their babies.

When I’m not working.
I’m a firm believer in balance and self-care—values I bring to my work with families. When I’m not supporting parents, you can find me enjoying time with my own family and friends, hiking, fishing, or relaxing by the beach. I’ve been playing the violin for 21 years, love basketball, and enjoy staying connected with the families I’ve worked with over the years.
